Dear NUID Patrons,

As previously communicated earlier this irrigation season, NUID management has expressed concerns about low live flow, coupled with high water demand on our system, and the significant drawdown from Wikiup Reservoir this year. These factors could potentially lead to a reduction in water allotments or an earlier shutdown than originally planned.

We have been closely monitoring the situation and exploring all possible alternatives to prevent such outcomes. We are pleased to inform you that during the Board of Directors meeting held on September 8th, NUID management reported that current and forecasted conditions indicate no reduction in water allotments is necessary. We remain on schedule to conclude our irrigation activities by the planned shutdown date of October 9.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we conclude another challenging irrigation season. Our focus will soon transition to ongoing maintenance, construction projects, and preparations for the next irrigation season.
